Finally..my first film!!

"The Cleanup" will have its first public screening on April 21 at the APFI Open House. It will be shown alongside "Instructions" by Roja Tejada, "Lucas" by Henry Posadas, "Tatsulok" by Jade Constantino, "Into the White" by John Ocier", and "Thelma" by Mic Tatad

For the sake of Nice who made an effort to search for my blog, I am writing this new entry.

I still feel shell shocked from what happened last Saturday at the shoot. I was in near tears when we were shooting the baptism sequence since all could I think was "Crap! This is the last sequence I will be working on!"

Although for some reason, this distance from direk's movie has somehow given me some stillness which I could never have experienced in the middle of the shoot. I feel a lot more introspective now. I can step back and see things elucidated...

I can't wait to start shooting my own film soon.

I just find it amusing that Greenpeace was fined Php 384,000 for the damage that its boat, the Rainbow Warrior II, inflicted on the Tubataha reef. You can read about the complete story here

I'm currently enjoying the long weekend and taking the chance to just rest up before shooting resumes in Pampanga on Thursday evening. I'm currently at my once-a-year Beatles phase wherein I listen to a lot of Beatles songs for days on end. It's nice to get the chance to catch my breath.

A week of shooting and my body is beaten, my brain is mush. I can't wait 'till the next one :)

I had my first taste of directing a shot (yep. just one) last Friday. It did not turn out as smoothly as I wanted it to be and I was really terrified half of the time. The shot did turn out quite good though and I would have to credit all the other people, who were crewing for me, and direk for pulling it off. Thanks people!
