I was quietly reading a book at the lanai this afternoon. Somewhere along page 92, I noticed something scuttling about on the table. I looked from my book to see that there was a small spider crawling along the table surface.

As with most insects, my immediate instinct would have been to squash it with the spine of my book but something about this little arachnid caught my eye. It had a jade colored body with red and blue markings while its legs were gold and shiny in the afternoon sun. It was something that I would only see in the Discovery channel and now was right in front of me. As such, I chose to repress the insect squisher in me and admire this little spider.

The little bastard then jumped on my leg.

I let out my most girlie squeal and leaped from my chair. When it was over, the little bugger lay on the chair cushion; a mass of legs and bug juice.

Damn. I didn't realize that I had neglected this little spot of mine for so long. I have been neck deep in my work for the past two months. I have actually developed a passive aggressive aversion for my computer. No need to worry! For all those who regularly check my blog (yes, the both of you), I shall be posting a few more entries in the next few days.
In the meantime, I have to take care of some pressing matters...
